Description

This Wrightsock Coolmesh II Crew is a thin and lightweight sock with high breathability.

These socks have a unique, double-layer design: maximum moisture wicking with minimal friction/rubbing. The soft, moisture-wicking inner layer keeps the foot dry and cool while the outer layer provides ventilation and moisture evaporation. Friction/rubbing is absorbed between the layers, minimizing the chance of blisters. This keeps feet dry and healthy for longer without blisters.

Washing instructions

  • Always wash socks inside out to more effectively rinse out skin flakes.
  • Wash the WRIGHTSOCK socks before first use to remove any manufacturing residues. Otherwise, the functionality of the socks may be reduced.
  • Wash at 30-40°C.
  • Do not use fabric softener and do not put the socks in the dryer.
  • Washing on the go: Use shampoo, rinse, and hang to dry.

Double-layer socks for triple protection.

Unlike traditional socks, Wrightsock socks consist of two layers sewn together. This effectively reduces the three factors that contribute to blisters:

► Factor 1: Reduced friction.
Two layers of sock material allow both layers to move against each other, preventing friction with the skin. Additionally, both layers are firmly sewn together at three points to prevent shifting.

► Factor 2: Cooler foot climate.
By shifting the friction between the two layers of the sock, the frictional heat on the foot is noticeably reduced. This further lowers the risk of blisters.

► Factor 3: Dry feet.
The functional fibers in the inner sock effectively wick away sweat. Combined with the reduced friction, this keeps your feet drier over the long term than with other socks.

  • Dri-Wright II Polyester

    The main ingredient in the Wrightsock formula is the patented Dri-Wright II polyester, specially developed for Wrightsock. This polyester fiber consists of small channels, which makes the fiber surface very large. This allows moisture to evaporate quickly, resulting in a fast-drying sock. This fiber is used in every Wrightsock sock and is the secret behind Wrightsock's moisture-wicking qualities.

  • Nylon

    Our socks contain on average between 20 and 26% nylon. This material dries quickly but is especially durable. Nylon makes the socks stronger, which is why it is used in greater amounts in the outdoor sock, which endures heavier wear.

  • Lycra

    Wrightsock socks contain a relatively high amount of lycra, and not without reason. Lycra provides elasticity, which is crucial for ensuring our socks fit well. The better the sock fits, the less friction is generated. Our socks fit snugly around the ankle and always conform perfectly to your feet.

How do double-layer socks protect against blisters?

When running, the inner and outer layers of the sock move slightly against each other. This prevents friction directly on the skin but causes the friction to build up between the two layers of the sock. This effectively prevents the main cause of blisters.

In the past, people wore two socks over each other to prevent blisters on their feet. The advantage of WRIGHTSOCK: because the two layers of socks are connected at three points, they do not twist, wrinkle, or deform.

Aren't you going to sweat in socks with a double layer?

All WRIGHTSOCK models feature a high-quality polyester fiber (Dri-WRIGHT) in the inner layer, which excellently absorbs foot moisture. As a result, you sweat less in these socks than in socks from other manufacturers. The Dri-WRIGHT fiber wicks moisture away from the skin thanks to microgrooves on the surface.

I am between two sizes, which size should I order?

Customers with a shoe size that falls between two sock sizes are always advised to choose the larger size. Due to the double-layer construction, our socks usually shrink slightly after the first few washes.

If your new socks are still too large after washing, please contact us. We will be happy to exchange them for the smaller size.

What should I pay attention to when washing and drying the socks?

  • Wash with regular detergent at a maximum of 50 degrees, but 30 to 40 degrees is sufficient.
  • Merino wool socks should be washed at a maximum of 40 degrees Celsius. The wool program is ideal for this.
  • Hang them to dry and do not put them in the dryer; Wrightsock usually dries overnight.
  • Do not use fabric softener or bleach.
  • Turn the socks inside out so that skin flakes and dirt can be washed out more easily.
